Document expiry reminder for expats

Add the expiry dates of your documents once. We show how many days are left, when to start renewing, and put reminders in your phone calendar.

Why start early

An expired residence permit can cost you your job, your benefits and even your right to stay. Immigration offices in big cities are booked weeks ahead, and embassies can take months to issue a new passport. Many countries also refuse entry or visas if your passport expires within a few months.

How the reminders work

Each document gets two calendar events: one on the day you should start renewing, and one on the expiry day, both with an alarm. Nothing is uploaded: the calendar file is created on your phone and the list is kept in your browser.

Frequently asked questions

Is my data stored online?

No. The list is kept only in this browser on this device; the calendar file is generated locally.

How early should I start?

Our defaults are a starting point: earlier for passports (embassies are slow) and residence permits (appointments), later for cards. Change them to fit your country and city.

Will it remind me if I close the site?

Yes, if you add the reminders to your calendar: your phone calendar shows the alarms even when the site is closed.

Can I use it for my family?

Yes. Add each person’s documents and give them names like “Passport – Sara”.
