About us

Ghurbatek ("your life abroad" in Arabic) started as an Arabic-language site for Arabs living in Germany, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia and Sweden. We now publish our guides in English, French, Spanish and Kurdish too, so that anyone dealing with these countries’ systems can read them in a language they are comfortable with.

Who writes the content?

Ghurbatek is run and edited by Alhamzah Abdulazeez, a university lecturer at the Northern Technical University (Iraq) and a software developer. He sets the editorial rules and is responsible for what is published. We use AI tools to help with drafting, translation and programming; every legal or financial figure is tied to its official source, which is linked on the page, and anything we could not confirm is marked as an estimate. We do not copy figures from forums or intermediary sites.

Corrections and updates

Translations

The Arabic version is the original. Translations follow the same sources and are updated when the original changes. If a translation differs from the Arabic original or from an official source, the official source prevails.

Funding and independence

The site is free and funded by advertising. Advertisers do not see content before publication and have no influence on figures or recommendations.
