How the CRS works

Every Express Entry profile gets up to 1,200 points: core factors (age, education, language, Canadian work), spouse factors, skill transferability (up to 100) and additional points such as French, a sibling in Canada and a provincial nomination (600). Each draw invites the highest scores.

Change on 3 November 2026

IRCC announced it will change how Canadian work experience and job offers are scored from 3 November 2026 and recalculate profiles. This calculator uses the current published tables and will be updated when the new ones are released.
